Over the centuries, the climate of northern Europe has produced extremely durable and natural wood. Unfortunately, it takes many decades and often centuries to grow and mature good wood. Heat treatment technology accelerates this natural wood maturation process by applying the highest standards of modification and producing heat treated wood.
Exclusive products from thermowood
The high and consistent quality of thermowood production is based on a logistics chain that is carefully managed from the forest to the final product. Only wood that best suits the specific retrofitting needs that are best suited to the product type and quality is selected and used for production. Mostly Finnish PEFC certified wood is used, only the best raw materials are used, which are sorted according to specific and strict requirements.
The products we offer are from one of pioneer of innovative technologies in the production of heat modified and high quality heat treated wood. The rapid growth of manufacturers into one of the market leaders is based on the highest level of thermally modified wood management strategy, the uniqueness of its production and the widest choice of products on the market. Thermal modification of wood and its preparation is an integral part of the production evaluation, which is used to place on the market the highest quality, various products of heat treated wood.
High quality natural products
Product quality consistency is achieved through meticulous production methods and quality assurance. Great attention is paid to the requirements that the product must meet at the end of each treatment step. After cutting, the treatment process begins with the drying of the wood, then the heat treatment of the wood is continued and the whole process is completed with the final wetting and cooling of the wood. This seamless process means that the heat treated wood will be of uniform quality.
Heat treatment of wood can be successfully applied to almost all types of wood. The treated native tree species becomes equivalent to imported hardwood, even in appearance. This opens up new opportunities for native wood species. Expensive and endangered tropical hardwoods can now be replaced by local, heat-treated thermo-wood produced using environmentally friendly methods.
